A Calorie is not Just a Calorie

How many times have you heard that to lose weight you need to put in less calories than you burn? Well I used this philosophy for a whole year and lost nothing. I was eating around 1200 calories a day (according to my nifty little app) and I was monitoring how many calories I was burning at the gym. Everyday I was calorie deficient. So why was I not losing weight?

I thought it would be a good idea to get my bog out here a bit so started posted certain blogs onto Reddit. What a bad idea! I got accused of disrespecting nutritionists, told to 'fuck off no one cares' etc etc.

Week 4 Update - Believe in Yourself

Technically its the end of week 5 but remember week 3 I was ill, so I went back a week as not to miss a week.
So, its now the end of week 4, my upper body strength does not seem to be improving but I am ready to up my lower body weights. I am kinda disappointed that I'm not noticing the results I thought I should be seeing, but I know these things take's just frustrating.

Slow it Down!

How many people are guilty of scoffing down their lunch at their desks or their dinner while watching TV! Certainly me, what makes it worse is that while eating I am watching a programme about food! No wonder why sometimes I am still hungry when I have finished my meal. So why is it that when we focus on something else while eating we never feel very full?
